Relay for Life to hold silent auction November 18 – 30
The 2020 Silent Auction in support of Relay for Life will be online November 18 – 30. Having it in the fall will allow them to take advantage of the holiday shopping season. You can’t get more #ShopSmall than Relay For Life!
To make this a success organizers need your help securing items. There is not a minimum value required, but they do recommend bundling smaller items together to create “baskets.”
As with the on-site auction, whatever amount your donated item(s) go for will be applied toward your team/personal fundraiser.
Please reach out to Nikki or Marlene with questions and to submit items. For more information visit the website.

Steve and Karen (Cornell) Gregory celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.
Born and raised in St. Johns, Steve Gregory graduated from Rodney B. Wilson in 1968, and his wife Karen was in the class of 1969. They were married on November 21, 1970.
Later they moved to Northport in March of 1971 where Karen’s parents, Jim and Geneva Cornell had moved and where her sister Kathy, formerly of the St. Johns High School class of 1968, now lives since 2008.
Steve worked for the village of Northport for 30 years and retired from there and then worked for the village of Suttons Bay streets department for 15 years, retiring in 2016. Even though he is retired he works occasionally again for Northport village. Karen has recently retired from West Front Primary in Traverse City after 13 years, having worked for over 48 years as an office supervisor for area doctors.
They have two sons, Matthew who lives in Lowell with grandchildren, Halle, Clayton and Abby and son Aaron and Nicole (Martens) with Evan and Ty who live in St. Johns.
They plan to celebrate with family Thanksgiving weekend. Cards can be sent to them at 14000 E Pinecrest Drive, Northport, MI. 48879. As family members are not able to have an open house celebration for them, they would enjoy hearing from friends, family and classmates from the St.Johns area.
