It’s all about the Elves at Toys for Tots

Top Elves will be at Santa’s Remote Workshop on Tuesdays from 2:00 until 4:00 and Wednesdays from 4:00 until 6:00 if you would like to drop off toy donations while they are at the workshop.
Top Elves noticed a need for
– Arts and Crafts Kits for all ages
– Paw Patrol Anything
– Remote Control Cars for older children and teens
– Legos for older children and youth
– Baby and young toddler learning toys
– Baby dolls
– Playdough and Playdough Kits
The workshop is located at 306 E. Elm Street in St. Johns, the brick building south of the hospital emergency room entrance. Toys can be shipped or dropped off at 306 E. Elm Street in St. Johns. Gift cards are appreciated so that they can purchase needed items.

Toys for Tots update for families
Santa’s Remote Workshop is well stocked through generous donations from our community. If you are a Clinton County family and request help they will be able to provide some toys. Of course, they cannot fulfill exact items.
– Please do NOT come into the building. You can talk with Top Elves through the windows and gifts will be brought outside to you.
– They anticipate Santa’s Remote Workshop to close at the end of the day December 23 so he can rest for his sleigh ride on December 24.
If you applly for gifts, please pick up your gifts during pick up times, Tuesdays from 2:00 – 4:00 or Wednesdays from 4:00 – 6:00 at 306 E. Elm Street in St. Johns.

Free Food Backpacks available December 16
Compassion in Action, along with Gracepointe Wesleyan Church, is providing free non-perishable food for families in need.
**No eligibility requirements or sign up necessary**
If you are in need of supplemental food, please see the details below.
– What: Free non-perishable food for students and their families in grades K-12.
– When: Wednesday, December 16 from 5:30-7:00 p.m.
– Where: Gracepointe Wesleyan Church in St. Johns located in the Southpointe Mall by Jade Garden
– Who: Parent, student or family member can pick up food. You can also pick up food for others not able to be there in person.
– How:
*Come to the church during the times listed above
*Tell them how many students are in the family
*Receive food backpacks

St. John’s Lutheran offers Advent Services
Join the folks at St. John’s Lutheran Church each Wednesday for midweek Advent Services December 9, 16 and 23.
Services will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. Masks are required.
Or join them in the parking lot. Drive in, park and listen on 93.1 FM.
Red Cross blood drive coming up December 7
Time to share your blood with those who need it. Go to the Columbian Hall on Monday, December 7, 2020 from 12 noon until 6 p.m.

Need a Homemade Gift for the Holidays?
Come and shop at the Clinton County Senior Center. They have everything from
– quilts, adult and baby,
– reversible table runners with a different holiday on each side,
– pillows including lots of MSU, Michigan and other teams,
– pet blankets,
– book pillows,
– kitchen towels,
– baby bib and burp cloth sets,
– coloring book/crayon holders,
– casserole carriers,
– plastic bag holders and much more.
Since the Senior Center is currently closed due to the new COVID-19 orders, call Darlene at 989-224-6605 to set up a time to look through everything. The center also has a gift shop with lots of glassware, Christmas Cards for a dime and hundreds of paperback and hardcover books.
