Carolyn Ann Winsor
Carolyn Ann Winsor, age 82, of Perrinton, MI, passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family.
Funeral Services will be held at Maple Rapids Congregational Christian Church, Maple Rapids, MI, on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Jerry Kissling and Pastor David Winsor officiating. Burial will take place at Payne Cemetery, Fulton Township, MI. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 3, 2021 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes – Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI.
Carolyn was born in St. Johns, MI on May 30, 1938, the daughter of Merrill F. and Hazel M. (Rehm) Irwin. She graduated from Fulton High School with the class of 1956. Carolyn married Glen Winsor on June 4, 1955 at Maple Rapids Congregational Christian Church.
Carolyn drove bus for Fulton Schools from 1975 until her retirement in 2014. While at Fulton Schools she coached cheerleading for several years. She loved following and attending her children, grandchildren and great grand children’s sporting events and following Michigan State athletics. Most of all Carolyn prided herself as being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Carolyn was a lifetime member of Maple Rapids Congregational Christian Church where for many years she enjoyed singing in the choir and playing the piano. She was instrumental in numerous church committees and community outreach programs including, pioneer club and vacation bible school.
She is survived by her husband Glen Winsor of Perrinton, MI, children: Michael Winsor of Perrinton, MI, Mark and Wendy Winsor of Stockbridge, MI, Bradley and Julie Winsor of Perrinton, MI, Scott Winsor of Perrinton, MI, Michelle and Larry Fisk of Olivet, MI, grandchildren: Cortney Walsh, Benjamin Winsor and fiancée Alyssa, Steven Walsh, Lyndsey Winsor and fiancé Robert, Charles and Kimmy Winsor, Brittany Walsh, Jayson Winsor, Justin Winsor, Dale and Megan Winsor, Ryan and Nicole Winsor, Stephen Winsor, Ashley and Tyler Gilland, Betsy and Matt Lindsey, Lauren Fisk, Maggie Fisk, and Michael Fisk, great grandchildren: Charlie, Kameryn, Chase, Hunter, Hazel, Grayson, Liam, August, Ellison, Ezra, Finley, and Nolan. She is also survived by her beloved cousin Meredith Bridgewater, and many brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son Stanley, and sister Marilyn (Duane).
Memorials may be made to the Maple Rapids Congregational Church Pioneer Club, Fulton Athletic Boosters or to Sparrow Hospice. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes – Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI.
Gloria DeLaere Haas
Gloria DeLaere Haas of Pawleys Island SC, 74, wife of Brian E. Haas, passed away Wednesday afternoon April 28, 2021 at her residence.
Mrs. Haas was born in Saint Johns, MI, on July 30, 1946, a daughter of the late Albert Christopher DeLaere and Gladys Padgett DeLaere.

Joyce Marie Whitlock
Joyce Marie Whitlock, 96, of DeWitt, MI, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021, at Sparrow Hospital, Lansing.
A Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes – Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 11:30 A.M. with visitation beginning at 10:30 A.M. Rev. Fr. John Whitlock will be presiding. Burial will take place at Mt. Rest Cemetery, St. Johns.
Joyce was born in Iron Mountain, MI on March 31, 1925, the daughter of David and Mary (Fillipini) Cavalieri. She graduated from A. D. Johnston High School in Bessemer, MI with the class of 1943.
Joyce moved to Lansing where she met Earl J. Whitlock. On November 27, 1948, they were married at Resurrection Catholic Church, Lansing, MI. After nearly 60 years of marriage, Earl passed away on August 3, 2008. Joyce and her family attended St. Theresa Catholic Church, Lansing for many years.
Joyce worked at various office jobs and finished her work life as the Deputy Treasurer for DeWitt Township. In retirement, she spent many years volunteering at Sparrow Hospital and serving senior meals at the township hall and delivering homebound meals. She and Earl enjoyed traveling in their retirement and spending winters in Florida.
Joyce is survived by 3 sons: Jim (Kris) Whitlock of Mears, David Whitlock of DeWitt, and Greg (Mary) Whitlock of DeWitt; 3 grandchildren: Michele (Tony) Mesa, Anthony (Colleen) Whitlock, and Michael (Annie) Whitlock; and 7 great grandchildren: Antonio, Brandon, Ricardo, Maggie, McKenzie, Abraham, and Jude; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Earl, and siblings: Rose (Richard) Banfield, Susan (Joseph) Kovacevich, and Anthony (Irene) Cavalieri.

Betty A. Bauer
Betty A. Bauer, a lifelong resident of St. Johns, Michigan died peacefully at her home on April 23, 2021.
She is survived by Barry, her beloved husband of over fifty-one years; her daughters, Renee (Scott) McCausey, Mindy (Jacob) Seavey, Kristy (Ross) Thelen; grandchildren, Nolan (Katie) McCausey, Cameron (Ashlynn) McCausey, Makayla (Luke) Worden, Rebekah McCausey, Joshua McCausey, Connor and Bella Seavey, Brooke and Laney Thelen; great grandchildren, Braedon, Ryleigh, Nathan, Abby and Martha; siblings, Sharon (Stu) Fitzpatrick, Barb (Mark) Parbs, Deb (Jeff) Wilcox; sister-in-law, Elyse (Dick) Fogle, Jane Boak, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Tyler Seavey, her parents, Edward and Genevieve Motz, brother, Dave Motz, in-laws, Paul and Florence Bauer; sisters and brothers-in-law, Richard Bauer, Sharyl (Harry) Powers, Doug Bauer, and Colleen Yoder.
Betty enjoyed her home, where she raised her daughters, enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren, quilting and sewing and tending to her flowers and vegetable gardens.
Visitation will be held at McGeehan Funeral Home, Keck-Coleman Chapel, 1500 Waterford Parkway, St. Johns, on Monday, April 26, from 11 AM – 3 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 3PM for her family and may be viewed via livestream on the McGeehan Funeral Home Facebook page.

Susan Lynn Larsen
Susan Lynn Larsen, a longtime resident of St. Johns and a native of Kingsford, Michigan, died peacefully at home on April 22, 2021 following complications of sarcoidosis. She was 73 years old.
Sue was born on April 28, 1947 to Ellsworth and Lorraine (Radloff) Witter and was a 1966 graduate of Kingsford High School. Susan Witter met Gary Larsen during her sophomore year of high school and later reconnected at a dance with friends. They were married on August 9, 1969 in Kingsford, Michigan. They moved to St. Johns that same year. They were blessed with their two daughters, Kelly and Erin.
Sue loved her family more than anything – her husband, daughters and granddaughters were the light of her life. She was a loving wife, a supportive and caring mother, and a devoted and dedicated grandmother. Sue loved traveling and camping and some of her fondest memories were the “Pure Michigan Tours”. Sue worked for over twenty years as the church administrator with the First Congregational Church until her retirement in 2013, and most recently was a member of Two or More Christian Church. Sue will be forever remembered for her kind and gentle spirit and her unparalleled devotion and love for her family and friends.
She is survived by her beloved husband of nearly fifty-two years, Gary Larsen; her daughters, Kelly (Ben) DeRosia of St. Johns and Erin (Brian) Theis of Dewitt; granddaughters, Abigail and Chloe DeRosia; her brother, Ward (Kim) Wender of Iron Mountain; brother-in-law, Grant (Sue) Larsen of Marquette; sister-in-law, Gaye Smaniotto of Escanaba; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Louis and Beatrice Radloff, parents, Ellsworth and Lorraine (Radloff) Witter and her brother, Chuck Witter.
A Memorial Service will be held at McGeehan Funeral Home, Keck-Coleman Chapel, St. Johns on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 4 PM, with visitation from 2 PM until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to Two or More Christian Church, 800 S. US 27 #117, St. Johns or to a humane society of your choice.
