Ronald J. Halstead, Jr
Ronald J. Halstead, Jr, a longtime resident of St. Johns, died peacefully on June 2, 2021 at Grace Haven Assisted Living. He was 69 years old.
He is survived by his daughters, Marcy (Wayne) Potter and Veronica Halstead; his son, Ron (Jessica) Halstead III; a grandchild on the way; sisters, Joyce Halstead, Sherry (Michael) Montague and Cindy Halstead; brother, John (Carolyn) Halstead, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald “Jack” and Barbara Halstead and sister, Robin (Harvey) Chamberlain.
Visitation will be held at McGeehan Funeral Home, Keck-Coleman Chapel, 1500 Waterford Pkwy, St. Johns on Thursday, June 10, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 11 AM, with visitation beginning at 10 AM. Burial Mount Rest Cemetery.

Dennis George Scott arrangements
Dennis George Scott, age 74, passed into the presence of his Lord and Savior on January 17, 2021 after valiantly living with Parkinson’s Disease for over twenty years.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 13, 2021 from 3-6 PM at McGeehan Funeral Home, Keck-Coleman Chapel, 1500 Waterford Pkwy, St. Johns. A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, June 14, 2021 at 11 AM. Full Military Honors and interment will take place at Mt. Rest Cemetery.

Everett Martens, a resident of St. Johns, died at Sparrow Hospital on June 2, 2021. He was 84 years old.
He was born in St. Johns, Michigan on September 11, 1936 the son of Howard and Leona (Behrens) Martens. On February 12, 1956, he married his high school sweetheart, Ellen Marie Snyder, in St. Peter Lutheran Church. Together they were blessed with the births of three children, twelve grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and spent over sixty-five years as partners in life, farming and running Martens Farm and Lawn, which remains to be their outstanding legacy along with 29 children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his sons, Mark (Trish) Martens and Lee Martens; his daughter, Teresa Martens; grandchildren, Anson (Kori) Martens, Zac (Tori) Martens, Christine (Joe) Tejkl, Becky Jones, Missy Jones (Brian Schutt), John and Bruce Martens, and Lindsey Walker; great grandchildren, Hudson, Brayli, Lincoln, Berkley, Everett and Mila Martens, Chase and Noah Tejkl, Tayen and Kaia Petoskey, Brennan and Riley Schutt. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ellen on March 3, 2021, a grandson, Kasey Baatz, and brother, Gary (Karen) Martens.
Visitation will be held at McGeehan Funeral Home (Keck-Coleman Chapel), 1500 Waterford Parkway, St. Johns, on Friday, June 4, from 3-8PM. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 8990 Church Rd., St. Johns, on Saturday, June 5, at 11AM with Pastor Tim Bayer officiating.

Martin Rex Redman
Martin Rex “Marty” Redman, age 60, of Maple Rapids, MI, passed away Friday, May 28, 2021, at his home.
Cremation has taken place a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Martin was born in St. Johns, Michigan on October 9, 1960, the son of Rex B. and Ilene Merece (Houseman) Redman. Marty married Robin Sue Bender on March 24, 1979 in Carson City, MI. Robin passed away on Mary 18, 2019.
Marty loved fishing and hunting. He was an independent truck driver for several years. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his sons: Michael James Redman of Greenville, MI; Rex B. Redman of Duck Lake, MI; siblings: Gary and Wendy Redman of Honolulu, HI, David and Mary Redman of Perrinton, MI, 3 grandchildren: Kolton Joshua Lee Redman, Raevin Redman, and Oliver Redman. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and his caretaker and longtime friend Jeff Vanderstow. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and his brothers: Joel Redman and Greg Redman who passed a few hours after him.

Gregory Redman age 62, of Perrinton, MI, passed away Friday, May 28, 2021 at his daughter’s home.
There will be a service at a future date.
Gregory was born in St. Johns, Michigan on August 29, 1958, the son of Rex B. and Ilene Merece (Houseman) Redman. On March 16, 1999 he married Cynthia Miller at LasVegas, Nevada.
Greg enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. His family was very important to him and he enjoyed spending time with them and his friends. He retired from Meridian Concrete Restoration in Lansing, Michigan.
He is survived by his wife Cynthia Redman of Sumner, MI; 2 daughters: Jamie Reed of Middleton, MI; Rachelle Witt of Perrinton, MI; Step children: Brice Miller, Britney Thomas, and Branden Miller; 6 grandchildren: Taylor, Saleena, Joshua, Hunter, Cali and Easton.
He is also survived by one great-granddaughter Tamslee, and 2 brothers: Gary and Wendy Redman and David and Mary Redman. He was predeceased by his parents, son, Joshua, 2 brothers: Joel Redman and Martin Redman, who passed a few hours prior to him.
Memorials may be made to donor’s choice in his memory. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes – Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, Michigan.
