New preschool opens at East Olive Community Center
A preschool, Treasures To Grow On, is open at the East Olive Community Center, the former East Olive Elementary on Green Road in St. Johns.
They moved from DeWitt after operating for 18 years in their old location there.

RBW Class of 1964 to meet August 29
The Rodney B. Wilson High School Class of 1964 will hold their Annual Potluck Picnic on Sunday August 29, 2021.
They also welcome the Class Members of 1965 and 1963 to join them.
Please plan to arrive at the St. Johns City Park Main Pavilion between 12:00 and 12:30 and eat at 1:00p.m.

Free meals every Tuesday
His Cup Runneth Over, a free meal ministry, will be doing free meals every Tuesday starting Tuesday.
Free meals will be given out from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at First Congregational Church, 100 Maple Ave., St. Johns. They will be located in the back southwest corner of the parking lot.
Everyone is welcome to come, and it is free for all who come. For those unable to pick up lunch, please call to arrange for delivery by Monday.

Superhero 5K Registration is Open
The Voice for Clinton County’s Children is looking forward to our 8th Annual Superhero 5K Run, Walk, or Fly! on Saturday, September 25 at the St. Johns City Park.
Proceeds from our 5K supports their essential services for Clinton County children and youth who have experienced human trafficking, neglect, physical abuse, and/or sexual assault.
They remain optimistic that they will host the event in person with a virtual option. Safety guidelines will be followed.

Local man earns certificate from University of Dubuque
Richard Gierman from St. Johns was one of five students who earned certificates from The University of Dubuque Theological Seminary. He earned a Certificate in Congregational Leadership.
The University of Dubuque Theological Seminary held a virtual commencement ceremony Saturday, May 1, 2021. Thirty-nine students received degrees and five students earned certificates. Rev. Eric Hoey, pastor of Presbyterian Church of Henderson, Kentucky, delivered the commencement address titled, “Navigating the Ups and Downs of Ministry.”
