Faith Marie Heinze
Faith Marie Heinze, age 14, of Elsie, MI, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018 at her home.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie, MI on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 1:00 P.M., with Pastor Cal Emerson and Pastor Ava Williams officiating. Burial will take place at Fairfield Township Cemetery, Elsie, MI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 6-8 P.M. and Thursday, July 26, 2018 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
Faith was born in Owosso, MI on September 4, 2003 the daughter of Timothy Charles and Elizabeth Marie (Tyler) Heinze. She attended Clinton County RESA. Faith will be remembered for her spunky and loving personality. She loved to dance. Her smile would light up a room and she had an infectious laugh. Faith loved being around people, asking many questions and making up stories. Her favorite color was purple and she loved a good slushie. Faith attended Gracepointe Wesleyan Church in Owosso and Elsie United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her parents Timothy and Elizabeth Heinze of Elsie, MI; sister Serina Heinze of Orlando, FL; grandparents: Debra Heinze of Elsie, MI, Jack and Kathy Tyler of Elsie, MI, Charles Heinze of Bannister, MI; 2 aunts: Rebecca and Daniel Guyski of Henderson, MI; Donna Tyler of Euless, TX; uncle Shayne and Debbie Tyler of St. Johns, MI; special family friends Joe and Holly Sharpe of Fort Bragg, NC. Faith is also survived by five cousins Alex, Jacinda, Shelbie, Jasmine and Kariana. Faith was preceded in death by her brother Tyler Watson Heinze, her sister Kathryn Jean “Katie” Heinze, great-grandparents: Richard and Carol Watson, Eugene and Irene Heinze, Robert and Dorothy Harmon, Richard and Thelma Tyler, and her special family friend Kevin Ladiski.

Stephen Anthony Simmon
Stephen Anthony Simmon, age 74, of Fowler, MI, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2018, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
A Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes – Goerge Chapel, Fowler, MI, at 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
Stephen was born in Fowler, Michigan on November 29, 1943, the son of Jerome and Viola (Wieber) Simmon. On June 12, 2013 he married Janet Louise Newhall in Dewitt, Michigan. Steve was a farmer all of his life which he truly loved and he worked for Motor Wheel retiring after 30 years of service. He was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church Fowler, Michigan. Steve enjoyed woodworking, fishing in his pond and his dogs were very special to him. He loved spending time at the pond with his family.
He is survived by his wife: Janet Simmon of Fowler, MI; 2 daughters: Jennifer and Matthew Scott of Westphalia, MI; Kimberly and Dennis O’Hare of St. Johns, MI; 3 sons: Jeff and Donna Simmon of Fowler, MI; Kevin Simmon of St. Johns, MI; Steven and Jamie Simmon of Westphalia, MI; 17 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; 2 step-daughters: Connie and Dennis Magoon of Cedar Springs, MI; LeAnn and Jon Eliason of St. Johns, MI; 3 step-sons: David and Kathy Newhall of Dewitt, MI; Thomas and Celia Newhall of Rockford, MI; Steven Newhall St. Johns, MI; and several step-grandchildren. He is also survived by 4 sisters: Marylou Rademacher, Ellen and Louie Pline, Aggie Beaufore, Lucy and Denny McCrumb; 3 brothers: Mark, Davey, and Mike Simmon and sister in law: Mary Ellen Simmon. He was predeceased by his parents, 2 daughters: Rhonda Devereaux and Tonya Platte and her husband Jim; granddaughter: Sarah Scott; 3 brothers: Tom, Danny and Francis; sister-in-law: Gert Simmon; brothers-in-law: Denis Rademacher and Wayne Beaufore.
