City Recreation accepting registrations for Kids Power Karate
The City of St. Johns Recreation Department is accepting registrations for Kids Power Karate. The six week class is designed for boys and girls, ages 5-12 years old who want to learn discipline, self-defense, and have fun. At the conclusion of the class, children will have the opportunity to test for their first color belt. Classes will be held on Wednesday starting October 10, from 6:15 to 7:00 p.m. at PKSA St. Johns .
The cost is $40.00 for St. Johns City Residents and $45 for non- City Residents. The deadline for registration is October 5. No drop-ins will be allowed.

Office Housewarming scheduled for Friday, September 14
The Voice for Clinton County’s Children welcomes everyone to join them for an Office Housewarming on Friday, September 14th from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
In conjunction with the Clinton County Arts Event, Arts Night Out, they will be giving tours of the office which is full of beautiful murals generously donated by the community and created by Tracie Davis. The wonderful murals create a welcoming, warm space for children to be heard.

Art Walk: Chalk It Up! is Friday, September 14

The overwhelming success of last year’s Art Walk: Chalk It Up! encouraged the Clinton County Arts Council to make this an annual event in downtown St. Johns. This year’s event will be held on Friday September 14, 2018 from 5:00-8:00 p.m.
Downtown businesses will be opened for extended hours as they host local artists and musicians who will showcase their works and/or talents. Come for dinner too. Many food vendors will be available. . A portion of the Food Ticket Sales will benefit the Clinton County Arts Council programming efforts and their Trail Underpass Mural Project.
This is a free public event intended to bring arts and cultural awareness through a fun, family-friendly event.
Registrations now open for December 1 Christmas Festival
The 16th Annual Clinton County Chamber of Commerce Christmas Festival will be held on December 1 and the Festival of Trees from November 26 – December 18, 2018.
Participate in the 16th Annual Festival of Trees by entering a theme decorated tree, table top or full size. They will be on display in the lobby at the CC RESA building, 1013 S US 27 in St. Johns. While the trees are on display community members will have the opportunity to vote on their favorite trees with their monetary donations. The tree that collects the most money will win 1st prize recognition and will have the opportunity to decide which charity all the money collected will go to. Registrations are needed by Friday, November 9, 2018.
On December 1 a Breakfast with Santa, Arts and Craft Show and Children’s Make It and Take It Crafts will be held. Activities will be available from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. Festival of Trees, Christmas Craft Show will be featured from 8 – 10:30 a.m. Breakfast with Santa will be held from 12 – 3 p.m

Sparrow Clinton Hospital to host Community Health Fair
Sparrow Clinton Hospital will host a Community Health Fair on Saturday, September 29 from 8:30 a.m. to Noon at AgroLiquid on the corner of M21 and DeWitt Road.
Join them for this fun family event. Free flu shots for age 18 years and up, free health screenings, chair massages, children’s car seat checks, medication drop-off, 30 health and lifestyle booths, farmers’ market, the Fresh Food Fairy and her smoothie-making bicycle, and Love on a Leash therapy dogs will be there. This event is open to all Clinton County residents.
