Larry L. Hunt
Larry L. Hunt, age 64 passed away at Owosso Memorial Hospital on Saturday, September 7, 2019. He was born on September 15, 1954 in St. Johns the son of Russell and Beatrice (Beach) Hunt. Larry graduated from Ovid-Elsie High School in 1972 and had worked at Federal Mogul for several years and was a truck driver. He was an avid woodworker, loved riding his ATV, snowmobiling and he loved animals, especially his dogs, Toby and Lacy. On April 18, 2008 he married Suzanne M. Mead in St. Johns.
Surviving him are his wife, Sue, his mother, Beatrice Hunt of Portland, children Jenny (Jeff) Anderson of Merrill, MI., Paul (Dani) Hunt of St. Johns, Jeff (Melissa) Parker of Laingsburg, and Amy (John) Gibson of Owosso; grandchildren, Jacob Gibson, Corbin Parker, Jaylynn Anderson, Tyler and Chelsey Bennett; sister, Amy (John) Cheeney of St. Johns, and brother Dan (Penny) Hunt of Lyons, MI., his mother-in-law, Dorothy Mead of Perry, along with many other family members.
The family will receive friends and relatives at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 10, 2019, 4-8 P.M. and funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday September 11, 2019 at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Memorial Healthcare Cancer Center of Owosso, MI.
Lawrence A. Phinney
Lawrence A. Phinney, age 77 of St. Johns, MI passed away on September 6, 2019 at Sparrow Hospital with his family by his side. Larry was born on January 11, 1942 in St. Johns, MI the son of Arnold and Violet (Longcor) Phinney. He was a 1960 graduate of Rodney B. Wilson High School and on August 18, 1962 he married Bonnie G. Locher in DeWitt, MI. Larry was a farmer and worked at Michigan Milk Producers Association as a field man for several years, retiring in 2004. He was active with the Clinton County 4-H, raised cattle all of his life and had a show supply company for all livestock equipment and supplies. He was also a member of the Heart of Michigan Antique Tractor Club and had attended Grove Bible Church.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie, 2 daughters, Kelley (Dave) Tresnak of Sandusky, MI and Kendra (Bryan) Lehner of St. Johns. 2 grandchildren, Christian and Catherine Lehner; brother, Ron (Holly) Phinney of St. Johns, and sisters, Linda (Dan) Ritter of St. Johns and Kathy (David) Rozga of Mt. Pleasant, MI
The family will receive friends and relatives at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 10, 2019, 3-8 P.M. Funeral services will be held at Grove Bible Church on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. with burial to follow at South Bingham Cemetery. Pastors Larry Smith and Brendan Holmquist officiating. Memorials may be made to Grove Bible Church or Clinton County 4-H Council.
Steven H. DeJaegher
Steven H. DeJaegher, age 63 died on Friday, September 6, 2019 at home on the farm that he loved in St. Johns, MI. He was the son of Rudy and Phyllis (Emery) DeJaegher.
Steve was proud to work for the Lansing Board of Water and Light, retiring in 2015 with 37 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping, he looked forward to “Fish Week” every summer catching salmon with friends and he was also very fond of his yearly deer hunting trips with his dad and brother.
Steve was a good man who loved his family. He was always willing to help his neighbors and friends.
He is survived by his wife Yvonne, daughter Rachel Clapsadle-Lynch (Ryan Lynch), son Brad (Ashley) DeJaegher and 5 grandchildren. Step mother, Judy DeJaegher, his dear sister Carla Foltyn, brothers David DeJaegher, Barry DeJaegher and sister Robin Powell and special sister in law, Diane (Roger Miller) Rademacher.
A memorial service will be held at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Andy Croel officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home beginning at 11:00 A.M. until service time. The family would prefer that donations be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
