Patricia Ann Draper

Patricia Ann Draper, age 78 of Lake Isabella passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2019. Pat was born on September 8, 1941 to Robert P. and Dorothy O. (Krepps) Moon in St. Johns, MI. She grew up in the St. Johns area and graduated from St. Johns High School with the class of 1959. On September 2, 1978 Pat married Jack Draper in St. Johns. Pat worked as an accountant doing books for many years. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, country music, and church gatherings; but most of all she loved her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Pat leaves to cherish her memory her children, Connie (Patrick) Paez, Yvonne (Alan) Wilcox, Jeff (Christine) Pattison, Wendy (Gary) Bliss; step-children, Jack Draper, Ron (Kathy) Draper, Nicole (John) Draper-White and Scott (Tami) Draper; brothers, Dean (Mary Lou) Moon, Robert (Judy) Moon and Gary (Mary) Moon and 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Pat was preceded in death by her husband Jack and her parents.

A funeral service for Pat will be held on Monday, November 25, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Maier Family Funeral Home, 5483 W. Weidman Road in Weidman with Dallas McClain officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will be at North Star Cemetery. Memorial donations in Pat’s memory may be made to Elara Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Fredrick J. Fleischer

Fredrick J. Fleischer, age 91 passed away at his home on Monday, November 18, 2019. He was born on May 9, 1928 the son of Edward J. and Nora M.E. (Miller) Fleischer. Fred graduated from Rodney B. Wilson High School and on September 15, 1945 he married Betty Jean Ellsworth in Kentucky.

Fred was a farmer and worked as a mechanic at G.M. for several years, retiring in 1990. Then he worked as a Tax preparer for 60 years. Fred was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge, The Rebecca’s, St. Johns Lions Club, served as a Lieutenant in the Civil Air Patrol and was a Boy Scout Leader of 8 years.

Surviving are his wife, Betty Jean, children Michael J. (Linda) Fleischer of St. Johns, Sandra (David) Cleveland of St. Johns and Jeannie (Gordon) Shipley of St. Johns; 9 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. Hee also is survived by his sister, Ruth Gomez of Perry and brother Raymond G. (Karen) Fleischer of St. Johns. He was preceded in death by brother Carl H. Fleischer and sister Hazel Overmyer.

The family will receive friends and relatives at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home on Friday, November 22, 2019, 12 noon until 2:00 P.M. at which time services will be held with David Cleveland officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Rest Cemetery.

Hugh Henry Miller

Hugh Henry Miller, age 85, of Fowler, MI, passed away Monday, November 18, 2019, at Hazel I. Findlay Country Manor, St. Johns, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Fowler, MI, on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 10:00 A.M., with Rev. Paul Clark officiating. Burial will take place at East Plains Cemetery, Clinton County, MI. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2019 from 2-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes – Goerge Chapel, Fowler, MI.

Hugh was born in Dallas Township, MI on April 16, 1934, the son of John and Martha (Sommers) Miller. Hugh married Jeanette Elaine Collins on December 17, 1966. Jeanette passed away on March 12, 2016.

Hugh was a lifelong farmer. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, fast pitch softball, and sitting on the cement with his friends. Hugh loved time spent with friends and family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and Fowler Conservation Club, Fowler, MI. Hugh served his country as an Army Ranger.

He is survived by his children: Lori Miller, Connie and Jeff Lowery, Don Miller, Vicki and Jeremy Schlak, grandchildren: Chelsea and Trent Feldpausch, Courtney (Al Roll) Miller, Preston Miller, Olivia Miller, Lewis Miller, Karissa Schlak, Hudson Schlak, and Molly Schlak, great-grandchildren: Kinsley Feldpausch, Christian Roll, and Jason Roll. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Jeanette Elaine Miller and 6 brothers and 2 sisters.
