Law Enforcement Agencies Fill a Cop Car
by Maralyn Fink

On Saturday I stopped at Kroger’s to catch our police Department participate in the Fill A Cop Car. It was a very cold day, but there were many people who came out for this event.

I decided to help out and went to a local fast food chain and purchased coffee for them.

Thanks to our Police Department and people who donated to this worthwhile cause.

Students from St. Johns Middle School in St. Johns last week were among the few in the state selected to bring cutting edge and innovative technology demonstrations from their classroom to lawmakers at the state Capitol Building. The 19th annual AT&T/MACUL Student Technology Showcase took place Wednesday, December 4 in the state Capitol Building.

Presented by the Michigan Association for Computer Users in Learning (MACUL), and underwritten by AT&T, the 2019 Student Technology Showcase featured demonstrations from students representing more than 35 different schools.

“The 19th annual Student Technology Showcase showcased the brightest and best technology projects in our state, and we were excited to welcome students to the Capitol again this year,” said Mark Smith, MACUL executive director.

Students displayed a wide variety of technology projects that blended science, mathematics, social studies and language arts with the latest digital tools. Their work featured app development, artificial intelligence demonstrations, coding, robotics, web design, and many other technology demonstrations.
