While the St. Johns Mint Festival is still two months away, the early bird registration deadline for the Grand Mint Parade is fast approaching.
Until July 2 commercial businesses pay an entry fee of $60 while non-profits, groups and individuals can be in the parade at no cost. However, after July 2 a $10 late fee will be assessed to all entries, which means commercial businesses will then pay $70 and non-profits, groups and individuals will then pay $10.
Applications are also available for all other events of the festival, including two new events: a Bocce Ball Tournament and a Mint Cooking Contest.
The cost to participate in the Bocce Ball Tournament is only $5. You can enter as an individual or as a doubles team. The tournament will start on Saturday, August 14 at 2 pm (demonstrations at 1 pm) with finals on Sunday, August 15 at 1 pm if needed.
The Mint Cooking Contest will be on Saturday, August 14 at 3 pm. This year the focus will be on Cookies and Bars.
Applications for these and all other Chamber sponsored events are available at the Clinton County Chamber of Commerce office at 1013 S US 27 in St. Johns (in the CC RESA Building across from McDonalds) or you may print them off the Mint Festival webpage at www.clintoncountychamber.org/mint.
