The cake above is dated 1946-1962 which celebrates the year he became a priest and the year he was ordained as a bishop.
Michael J. Green was born in 1917 in St. Joseph, Mi. He was ordained a priest in 1946 and in 1957 was appointed pastor of St. Joseph Parish in St. Johns.
Bishop Green left St. Johns and in 1967 he was transferred to Reno, Nevada, as the Ordinary of the Diocese. After resigning that position he became pastor of St. Joseph Church in St. Joseph, Mi. and served until he retired in 1979.
Bishop Green passed away August 30, 1982 and is buried at St. Joseph Cemetery in Lansing.
