Mike Moinet was working in the Welded Cam Cell department when this photo was taken. This Cell was shipped out not because it wasn’t doing well in St. Johns; it was shipped to Mexico because there was more money to be made there with the cheap labor.
Mike started working at Federal-Mogul on April 10, 1974 in production. At one time his mother, Barb, his brother, Ed, his mother-in-law, Jeanette, and his sister-in-law, Judy, worked at Federal-Mogul.
Mike also served as a volunteer fireman as did several Federal-Mogul employees.
