There’s Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and a few other red-letter days on the calendar, but Mary Ellen Darnell can get you well prepared for Easter when you attend the Arts Council’s open house Sunday September 12th. Her fascinating skill in applying color and design to eggs in the Ukranian tradition is captivating and, like snowflakes, no two eggs are the same.
Ms Darnell, who has had previous showings at the Gallery, will be the featured artist during the September open house with special demonstrations on the technique of Ukranian egg decorating. Many of her eggs will be on display, each uniquely individual in design, coloring and appearance.
As a usual feature, the September open house, sponsored by The Mint, will feature refreshments.
