Former area resident Janet Halfmann has done it again. She has another book coming out this fall. The paperback will be available on September 15, 2010.
In this book a baby otter explores the undersea world before drifting off to sleep. Children will want to settle down for bedtime with Little Sea Otter as he snuggles on Mama’s chest in a cozy bed of sea kelp and bids good night to all his ocean friends. From sea lions to sea snails, seagulls to seals, and sea urchins, it seems he’ll never close his eyes. But when the tired little sea otter fi nally says good night to Mama it’s time to sleep in the gently rocking seas under the twinkling stars and wrapped safely in Mama’s loving arms.

Janet Halfmann is the award-winning author of more than thirty children’s fiction and non-fiction books, including: Seven Miles to Freedom: The Robert Smalls Story and Little Skink’s Tail.
The inspiration for Good Night, Little Sea Otter came while writing a magazine article set in a kelp forest along California’s coast.
Janet is a mother and grandmother and lives in Wisconsin.
