The Clinton County Arts Council first Sunday open house will take on a new name in October when the monthly attraction becomes the Sunday Event.
“This monthly open house has been well received,” explained Mike Muehlenbeck, Arts Council “but holidays often made the first Sunday something other than first. The name Sunday Event should be less conflicting.”
The first artist to be scheduled under the change will be Jenny Wilcox, a basket weaver with special design skills and creativity. She’ll be the featured artist Sunday October 3 during the 1p to 3p open house with her
varied forms of basketry on display. In addition, Ms Wilcox will demonstrate methods of basket weaving with explanation of techniques involved.
The October open house is being sponsored by the St. Johns Lions Club. Refreshments will be served. The Arts Council’s Gallery is located at 215 N. Clinton in St. Johns.
