St. Johns Public Schools has taken delivery on 20 new propane fueled buses. The new buses will be on the road once they are inspected and when their communications systems are installed.
The bus purchase was approved by the St. Johns Board of Education earlier this summer. Funds from the bond passed in May were used for the purchase. Holland Bus Company of Holland, Michigan supplied the buses.
The buses are expected to save significantly on fuel costs throughout the year.
