Marion L. Bradley
Marion L. Bradley died Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at the age of 84. He was born December 4, 1925 in Alma, Michigan the son of Raymond and Georgia (Conrad) Bradley. Marion resided in St. Johns as a youth and moved to Perry, Michigan during his adult work life. In his retirement years he lived in St. Johns, Roscommon and Fowler and he spent his winters in Mesa, Arizona. Marion was a Navy veteran of WWII, a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fowler and All Saints Catholic Church in Mesa. Marion was the owner / operator of the Gambles Store in Perry until his retirement. He was a former volunteer with the Perry Fire Department and Ambulance Service, was a former member of the Perry Lions Club and served on the Board of the Perry Bank. He enjoyed playing card games of all kinds and fishing. Marion married Dorothy Simon Motz June 20, 1986 and she survives him.
Also surviving are two daughters, Linda (Bill) Lardie of Amarillo, TX and Mary (Mike) Jackson of Perry, MI; five sons, Tom (Mary) Bradley of East China, MI, Dick (Theresa) Bradley and Jeff (Jean) Bradley all of Roscommon, MI, Harry (Colleen) Bradley of Perry, MI, Bill Bradley of Evart, MI; stepchildren, Nadine Nosal of Lansing, MI and Rick Motz of Tucson, AZ; 16 grandchildren; 7 step grandchildren; one great grandchild; 9 step great grandchildren; one sister, Elizabeth Buell; two brothers in law, Kenneth McCue and Clarence (Genn) Simon; four sisters in law, Frances Thelen, Regina (Harold) Simon, Delores Schueller, Joan Simon and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Kathryn McCue and brothers in law, Ken Buell, Edward, Ron, Leon, Bernard and Phillip Simon, Joseph Thelen and Bernard Schueller.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00AM Friday, November 12, 2010 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fowler with Rev. Fr. Dennis Howard as Celebrant. Rite of Committal will follow at Most Holy Trinity Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends 2-4 and 7-9PM Wednesday and Thursday at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home, St. Johns. Rosaries will be prayed at 8:00PM Wednesday and 3:00 and 8:00PM Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Most Holy Trinity Education Fund, Hazel I. Findlay Country Manor or Sparrow Hospice Service.


Ernest Duane Groves
Ernest Duane Groves, died Monday, November 8, 2010 at the age of 78. Born April 11, 1932, in Clinton County, Michigan, the son of Ernest and Hazel (Bigelow) Groves. He was a member of the St. Johns Lutheran Church, The Moose Lodge in Harrison Michigan, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Duane married Marlene Groves on August 30, 1975 in St. Johns, and she survives him.
Also surviving are sons, Kenneth (Maggie) Matice of Ovid, David (Dee) Matice of Pewamo, daughter Gail Brooks of Eaton Rapids, sisters, Mable Mudget, Laura Anderson, Hazel (Keith) Munger, Cora Price, sister in law Gloria Groves, six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Frank, and sister Venus.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 12, 2010, at the St. Johns Lutheran Church, with Pastor George Brinley officiating, burial at Mt. Rest Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Osgood Funeral Homes on Wednesday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Contributions may be made in Duane’s memory to Eaton Community Hospice, or Great Lakes Hospice.

Charles T. Gallagher
Charles T. “Chuck” Gallagher, 77, passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2010 in Lansing, MI. Chuck was born in Denver, Colorado on November 10, 1932 to Thomas and Nellie (Bowles-McKee) Gallagher. Chuck married Marilyn Irwin on November 4, 1995 and she survives him.
Chuck is also survived by his children, Chris (Nina) Gallagher of Las Vegas, Kellie Gallagher of California, Gerald (Shari) Winsor of St. Johns, Ronald (Joyce) Winsor of Chasell, Brian (Janet) Winsor and Deb (Matt) Vusich of Perrinton; twelve grandchildren, six grandchildren, one sister; Marion Dunbar and many nieces and nephews. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and one brother; Lloyd McKee.
Funeral services will be 12:00 pm, Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at the Maple Rapids Congregational Christian Church with Pastors Jerry Kissling and Jerry Keranen officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10:30 am until service time at the church. In lieu of flowers the family wishes contributions be made to the Maple Rapids Congregational Christian Church in memory of Chuck.

Kenneth A. Pyle
Kenneth A. Pyle, died November 3, 2010, at the age of 73. He was born in Clinton County, MI, on April 5, 1937, the son of Grayling and Martha (Swanson) Pyle. He was a member of the First Congregational Church and Past Master of Masonic #105 F & AM. Kenneth retired in 1996 from Federal Mogul. He married, Janice Lockwood, January 4, 1958 and she preceded him in death on October 30, 1995.
Kenneth is survived by nephews, Gerald (Catherine) Scarborough, Mark (Dawn) Gove, Mat (Pamela) Gove, Michael (Margie) Gove, five nieces, Laura (Mark) Gilson, Tam (Brian) Buehler, Elizabeth (Starsky) El-Assadi, Mindy (Rob) Harmon, Jamie Hartman, great niece, Leanne Scarborough, great nephew, Gregory (Tami) Scarborough, sister- in -law, Priscilla (Ralph) Gove, and brother- in- law, Dave (Sandy) Lockwood. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sister, Lorraine Scarborough and sister- in- law, Nancy Sensiba.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 6, 2010, at the Osgood Funeral Home, with Rev. Mark Gilson officiating, burial at Mt. Rest Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Friday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Contributions may be made in Ken’s memory to the First Congregational Church.
