Holiday Program and more
Mark your calendar. The “Real Santa” will again be visiting us here at the Library! Choose from Thursday, December 2nd from 6-8, Friday, December 3rd from 6-8 or Saturday, December 4th from 10-Noon. The programs will start with musical performances by the Clinton County Idol Winner, Alexander Clark on Friday & Saturday and Caroling Kids @ Briggs at all 3 programs. Then Santa will arrive and entertain everybody with “magic dust” and winter tales from the North Pole. While waiting for your turn to visit with Santa there will be holiday games, cool crafts and home-made refreshments. These free Programs are for all ages and no registration is required. Don’t forget your camera for a great photo opportunity. We hope you can join us for some holiday family fun.
Library Closures
Briggs Public Library will close at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 24, Thanksgiving Eve. The Library remains closed on Thanksgiving Day, November 25, but will be open regular business hours on Friday and Saturday, November 26 and 27. Friday hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday hours from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Drop Box on the Library porch will be available for all returns throughout these closures.
Mitten Tree and Toys for Tots
The Annual Briggs Public Library Mitten Drive Tree has arrived to receive new mittens or gloves (Homemade or Store-bought). Scarves and hats are also welcome. The collection is for all ages, adult or child. Items received will be donated to local charity organizations. Briggs Public Library is also a “Toys for Tots” location accepting new toys and gift items for young children through teens at our Library Desk.
Food Drive
Thank you to all our patrons who helped make our food drive successful! We gathered 338 food items that were then donated to the local food bank In this time of economic hardship it is heart warming to see the thoughtfulness given to friends and neighbors in need.
