Lapsit Storytime
Do you have a 12 to 24 month child? If so, you can register for our free Lapsit Program by phone or at the circulation desk. Our theme for this winter storytime is A-B-C…Learning About Me! There will be age appropriate stories, music, creative movement and more included in these relaxed and simply structured 30 minute sessions. You may choose either Friday mornings, 10-10:30 (February 18th-March 25th) OR Monday evenings, 6:30-7 (February 28th-March 28th). An adult must accompany the child for these storytimes. Registration is required and begins on Friday, January 21st. Join us in our journey into books and making new friends!

Mark your calendars for March is Reading Month fun. The Library will be offering three different programs in March to celebrate reading. The Breakfast program is on Tuesday March 1st from 9:30-10:30. The Lunch program is on Tuesday March 8th from 11:30-12:20 and the Evening program is on Tuesday March 15th from 7:00-8:00. The breakfast and lunch are open to 3-5 year olds with participating adult and the evening program is for families of all ages. Registration is required and opens Tuesday February 1st. Watch for more specific details in the upcoming weeks.
Jr. Readers
Registration for the Saturday February 26th program from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm opens Friday January 28th. Youth ages 7-9 can pick up a copy of the book The Winter King by Dean Morrissey and Stephen Krensky at the Library desk. Discussion, snacks and activities will be part of the program that day.
Pre-Reader Storytime
There are a few spaces still open for the Thursday evening Pre-reader Storytime. The theme for this session is Let’s Get Our Game On! Independent listeners ages 4 through 6 will enjoy “brand new books” each week along with games and other fun activities. This session runs from January 20th to February 24th from 6:30-7:00 pm. Registration is required for this free program
Library Closures:
The Library will be closed Monday January 17th in observance of the Martin Luther King Holiday. The Library will also be closed on Tuesday January 25th and Wednesday January 26th for staff training on updated software that manages the collection and patron databases. The Drop Box on the Library porch will be available for all returns throughout these closures.
