Coming to St. Johns High School
Along with fellow high school coaches and teams throughout the country, the St. Johns High School Athletic Department and the St. Johns High School Athletic Boosters are participating in the American Cancer Society’s “Coaches vs. Cancer-Suits and Sneakers” program this year. To commemorate the effort, the coaching staff will wear their best suits with a pair of sneakers during Tuesday night’s Lady Redwings Freshman, Junior Varsity and Varsity basketball games.
Support the St. Johns Redwings as they take on the Waverly Warriors on Tuesday, January 25th. It should be a fun filled and informative evening. Come and join the coaches and teams and be a part of the fight against cancer…one sneaker at a time.
Coaches vs. Cancer – Suits and Sneakers event is a collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches that empowers coaches, their team and communities to join the fight against cancer. The Suits and Sneakers Awareness Weekend is a nationwide event held each January/February when coaches across the country unite for a common cause – fighting cancer. Coaches and their staff are encouraged to wear sneakers with their game suits while coaching games during the weekend to help raise awareness about the fight against cancer.
