Special Olympics March Madness

For the sixth year Clinton County will host the Special Olympics Basketball Tournament at St Johns High and Middle School on Saturday, March 5, 2011.
There will be 24 Special Olympic teams attending, including 3 teams from Area 28: the Wolverines, Spartans and Cougars.
Games start at 9am and will be played simultaneously in each of the 3 gyms throughout the day. Each team will play 2 games. It promises to be a rewarding day for all involved. Each team has been practicing for months and it is a highly competitive and exciting event
The tournament is open to the public and we invite all to come watch the teams play. There will also be a concessions stand at each school and souvenirs (t-shirts and hooded sweatshirts) at the middle school.
Special Olympics is non-profit organization funded entirely by donations and sponsorships. Area 28 Special Olympics is run solely by volunteers. All training and competition is offered free to athletes and families. Each area raises money to cover costs and all monies raised by Area 28 stay in Clinton County.
Thank you for your support to help put smiles on the faces of our athletes!
