The First Congregational Church, 100 Maple Street, St. Johns is offering workshops on caring for aging adults. The first workshop is scheduled for March 13th, 7:00 –8:30 p.m. in the church parlor will be an introductory workshop covering caregiving issues and will include time for the group to discuss issues and concerns that they have an interest in learning more about.
The second workshop is scheduled for March 27th. This workshop will feature a speaker from the Alzheimer’s Association speaking on the basics of dementia and Alzheimer’s.
These are the only two workshops scheduled at this point. The leaders will plan more workshops based on the input received from the group at the March 13th workshop. A schedule of workshops will then be developed and distributed.
These workshops are open to both members from the church the community well if you know someone who may benefit from the information, please invite them. The audience for these workshops is only for who find themselves caring for aging adults but for adults interested in information and resources available in the community as they age.
