Students at St. Joseph School in St. Johns observe a special tradition during Lent, when students from one grade become Lenten buddies with the students from another grade.
The pairs of students do craft projects, play games and learn about Easter together. They share prayers, activities and friendship throughout the season of Lent.
These unique friendships have had a positive, lasting effect as the students carry cherished memories of their Lenten buddy friendships as they grow older.
