Baker’s Business and Corporate Services is offering training for use in the workplace and in volunteer experiences.
If you’re a new supervisor, or need some tips to become better, “Fundamentals of Supervision” is for you! This invigorating workshop is a nuts and bolts approach to becoming an effective supervisor. Learn how to define your new role and image, supervise former co-workers, help your team accept change, prioritize and set goals, build relationships within your team, and achieve top performance from your team members. Scheduled for April 29 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Bentley Campus.
Extraordinary customer service – and repeat business – is just an attitude away! In “From Ordinary to Extraordinary: 4 Customer Service Principles to Live By”, students will learn how four basic principles can add value to your service, build long-term relationships with your customers, and lead to greater returns on your investment in your employees and your customers. Learn how to set priorities and better manage your time to transform your customer service from ordinary to extraordinary! Scheduled for May 6 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Bentley Campus.
“Generations in the Workplace” focuses on how today’s workplace is different. Multiple generations contribute to the workplace, and every generation has unique traits that they bring to work. In order to get along, be productive and avoid conflict we need to understand and respect the diversity of generations at work. In this dynamic workshop you’ll learn how your team can gain an edge by using the wealth of experience and talent of each generation! Scheduled for May 20 from 9:00a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Baker’s Welcome Center.

This hands-on, energizing workshop fosters positive and productive personal development that will improve communication, teambuilding, leadership, and conflict resolution skills both at work and at home. Includes manual. (Group discounts available.) Scheduled for May 10 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
“Beginning QuickBooks 2010” will prepare you to perform daily accounting tasks including general journal entries, sales and invoices, keeping track of expenses and bill pay, preparing payroll checks, and running basic reports. This two-part course is geared toward individuals who primarily perform data entry. Scheduled for May 16 and 23 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Bentley Campus.
