Chip is a Yorkie/Silky or Cairn terrier mix.
He is about 7 years old and weighs in at 16lbs. Chip is a very nice dog….he is house trained, up to date on vaccinations, leash trained, microchipped and neutered!
Chip was raised in an all male household, so he ADORES men. He is looking for an experienced dog owner with no young children. He has been spoiled his entire life and some times gets grumpy when he doesn’t get his own way. He needs an owner who will make him mind and put him in his place firmly and consistently, but not aggressively.
Chip isn’t very fond of being picked up, so we have been working on this daily. He very seldom complains about it. Chip is not a lap dog. He wants to be near you, at your feet or beside you on the couch, but not right on your lap. He loves to sleep at the VERY end of your bed and go for walks and rides in the car. He enjoys toys of all kinds and gets really excited for treats.
Chip does enjoy the company of other dogs as long as they are not too overbearing. He is used to being around cats and pays them no attention. Chip is a runner and doesn’t listen if he gets off his leash, and therefore he would do best with a fenced in yard or someone committed to NEVER letting him off leash.
