Comments to the SJ Indy and the bridge to Winsor
Why aren’t comments allowed anymore?
You must realize that no one is commenting on anything; that’s because whatever change you’ve made doesn’t allow it.
Please fix it.

[Editor’s note: Ah, Jason, here’s the story. We realize that readers occasionally would like to add their comments to our stories. Unfortunately there are also innumerable merry pranksters out on the web who would like to sell risqué products to our readers. The Naughty Lady would like to have our readers visit her on the Internet as well — for a fee, you understand.
No comment ever appeared on the SJ Indy site without being vetted by the editor first, but getting rid of these nuisances can be time-consuming. Production day on Thursday is long enough without having to spend the rest of the evening and Friday morning getting rid of the dust and dry leaves that blow in with each new publication.
Any reader is still welcome to comment on any story. If you want to comment, simply email us at

A bridge to Winsor

How stupid does our Governor and Senate GOP leader, Randy Richardville think the people in Michigan are?
The Detroit-Windsor bridge apparently cannot get enough votes for passage by itself, so the next Houdini bill to be introduced would include the 167 Michigan bridges that need repair with the Windsor bridge “hidden” in the bill.
We have been told that the Detroit-Windsor Bridge would not cost Michigan taxpayers anything because Canada would be loaning Michigan the money to build it. Doesn’t a loan mean it would have to be repaid at some point? If so, Michigan taxpayers would be footing the cost. What about costs for maintenance and repair of the necessary interchange?
Finally, what financial gain would be realized for our Governor?
To me this sounds a lot like a plan the President of the United States would concoct.
People need to let their Representatives know that a “NO” vote should be cast on this issue.
