Gallery schedules card classes

A series of three card making classes will be held during October at the Clinton County Arts Council Gallery. Carey Harris, instructor, displays samples of the types of cards students will create during the sessions.
Originality is always appealing and what better way to express your creativity than launching a personal inventory personally created cards?
You may take the first step on that journey by registering for a series of card making classes scheduled at the Clinton County Arts Council Gallery for three consecutive weeks in October. Director Mike Muehlenbeck has announced that Carey Harris, who was a featured artist during a recent Sunday open house, will serve as instructor for all classes offering various techniques in the art of card making.
“Mrs. Harris has developed quite a following,” he said, “particularly since her appearance during our open house and that recognition has prompted these classes.”
All classes will be on Tuesday evenings from 6p to 8p with a $20.00 registration fee for each session. The first class will be October 4 centered on beginning quilling. Advancing quilled flower techniques will be the focus of the second meeting on, October 11. The final gathering, October 18, will highlight the technique of Iris Fold
Persons interested in registering for a class, may view samples of what may be produced during the series by visiting the Gallery in advance. Many of Mrs. Harris’ creations are on display, offering examples of class results. Registration can be completed by calling the Gallery, 989 224-2429.
