Diane Korienek, LPN, of St. Johns recently retired from Sparrow Clinton Hospital. She was recognized by the Sparrow Clinton Hospital Board of Directors for her 30 years of service at the St. Johns hospital.

Korienek received her nursing license in 1964, coming to Sparrow Clinton Hospital in 1981. While at Sparrow Clinton, she worked in several departments, including Special Care, SCU (night shift), Medical Surgical, OB, and ER. Korienek also served as a CPR instructor for 20 years and taught nurse education and ACLS classes.
In 2010, she was named Sparrow Health System Nurse of the Year. Her dedication to the hospital was evident in her volunteer service as a Service Excellence Associate and longstanding member of the SCH drill team.
