The Christmas holiday period proved to be one of the busiest of recent times for the Clinton County Arts Council. According to Director Mike Muehlenbeck, events, activity and sales at the Gallery set a new standard and provided assurance for a most successful year.
Along with information on the period and business hours for January, Muehlenbeck also announced the names of winners of a holiday drawing sponsored by the Council. As a preface to those details, he expressed appreciation to the general public for its year around support.
“I’m certain I speak for the entire board,” he said, “when I extend a note of thanks to everyone for the support we have enjoyed during the year and in particular throughout the holidays. I has been most rewarding for us to observe the increased of the Gallery and general Council activities.”
Meanwhile, he gave the winners of the holiday drawing. Grand prize of a $100.00 gift certificate went to Sybil Spencer. John Chmiko, Sandy Hamlin and Maggie Watson each shared second through fourth prizes, respectively.
One of the activities this year included a fund raising home tour, completely decorated in trappings of the season. Muehlenbeck offered appreciation to all who purchased tickets for the event and shared visitors’ comments indicating pleasure at the added feature.
During January and February, the Gallery will be open only Thursday, Friday and Saturday. For those looking for Michigan Mints, they’ll be available at the Gallery on those days the following hours: Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
