The years of 2011 to 2015 will celebrate the Sesquicentennial or 150th anniversary of the American Civil War.
The Tenth Michigan Infantry, Civil War Reenactors and Living Historians want you to be a part of these coming special events. All are invited to an open Recruiting Station on Saturday January 7, 2012 at the River Rapids District Library 227 E. Broad Street in Chesaning. The station will be open from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm. New members are wanted to expand Company A of the Tenth Michigan Infantry.

The recruiting station will feature displays of Civil War items, artifacts, photos, and historical data on the Civil War, as well as all the information necessary for new members to join the ranks of the Tenth Michigan Infantry, one of the oldest reenactment units in the state of Michigan. A full presentation on the Civil War Sesquicentennial will be made at 1:00 pm.
As we are a family organization, won’t you join us to relive and recreate those marches, battle reenactments, and social events of the society of the 1860s? For additional information please check our website at: www.tenthmichiganinfantry.com or email to tenthmich@yaoo.com.
