Chapter Chatter “Climbing the Family Tree”
This program is for children ages 6 to 8 years old. Over the course of 4 weeks we will read a chapter book to the children and help them craft their very own family tree with pictures. Our local history room along with computer resources will help us puzzle out the past. There will be yummy treats and a game or two for fun. The programs are on Thursday evenings, 7-7:45, March 1st – March 22nd. Registration is required and begins on Thursday, February 2nd.
Make Reading “Mo” Fun!
Celebrate March is Reading Month with stories featuring Piggie & Gerald, Pigeon, Knuffle Bunny and Cat the Cat by favorite children’s author Mo Willems. We are offering a “Bird On Your Head” Breakfast: we will provide breakfast & beverage(ages 3 thru 5 with adult, Tuesday, March 6, 9:30-10:30 am), “Pigeon Finds a Hot Dog” Lunch: you bring a bag lunch and we will provide beverage & dessert (ages 3 thru 5 with adult, Tuesday, March 13, 11:30-12:30) and An Evening Out With “Elephant & Piggie”: we will provide a lite snack & drink(family program, Tuesday, March 20, 7:00-8:00 pm). Reading logs will also be available during the month with small prizes. Registration is required for these free programs and opens on Tuesday, Feb. 7.
“Sense”sational Lapsit Storytime!
There are still a limited number of spaces available for both the morning and evening sessions of Lapsit. This program is designed for babies 12 to 24 months with adult participation. We will enjoy age appropriate stories, music and creative movement that explore our senses. Friday morning sessions: February 17th to March 23rd, 10-10:30 am. Monday evening sessions: February 27th to March 26th, 6:30-7. Registration is required for this free program.
Library Closures
The Library will be closed on Monday, February 20, 2012 in observance of the President’s Day Holiday. The drop box on the Library porch will be available for returns during this closure.
