Leonard earns support

Police Officers Association of Michigan
Tom Leonard has earned the endorsement of the state’s largest police organization, the Police Officers Association of Michigan (P.O.A.M.) for the Republican Primary in his candidacy for State Representative in the 93rd District.
“I am humbled and honored to have the support of so many outstanding leaders in the law enforcement community,” said Leonard. “As a former prosecutor, I understand the importance of public safety in our local community. If elected, I will work to ensure that fighting crime remains a top priority for our state.”
P.O.A.M.’s endorsement adds to the growing list of law enforcement professionals supporting Leonard’s candidacy, including Attorney General Bill Schuette, Clinton County Sheriff Wayne Kangas, Clinton County Prosecutor Chuck Sherman, and Former Michigan State Police Ithaca Post Commander and current Gratiot County Sheriff candidate Doug Wright.
“Tom Leonard’s conservative values, public safety experience, and proven leadership will make him a strong voice in the legislature. He’s the right man for the job,” said Schuette.
“Tom has prosecuted some of the State’s most violent criminals. I have no doubt he will be a strong voice for the citizens of Clinton and Gratiot counties,” said Sherman.
Leonard (R-DeWitt Twp.) is running to represent the 93rd State House District, the job currently held by term-limited Paul Opsommer (R-DeWitt).
