Auxiliary Flower sale

If touching things is your bag, how about an assortment of flowers and a few trucks? That’s an offer awaiting you this year during the Sparrow Clinton Hospital Auxiliary flower sale, held in conjunction with the St. Johns Chamber of Commerce Springtime Community Festival and Touch a Truck event Saturday May 19 at the Southpoint Mall near the RESA offices. Festival activities will begin around 9 a.m. however, Auxilians will be on hand by 8 a.m. to ensure an early start to the sale which will run as long as supplies last or until 3:00 p.m.

Kim Kellogg, chair of the Auxiliary sale, explained that a wider selection of plants and flowers will be offered this year. “We’ll have in stock, hanging baskets, square and round planters, fiber baskets and four-inch pots,” she said. “On the flower side many varieties will be available, including Geraniums, Wave Petunias, Daisies, Begonias, Fuchsias, Gerbera Daisies, Scaveola and Impatiens. It’s perhaps one of our best selections. It’s time to get growing!”
