The public is invited to join with Community Christian Church, 400 E. State Street (M-21) in St. Johns, for their free Vacation Bible School to be held Sunday through Thursday, June 10-14, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The church’s V.B.S. is for children, preschool through 5th grade.
This year’s theme is Sky: Everything Is Possible With God! This summer children’s event will be hosted at Community Christian Church, where participants will discover that regardless of their challenges or past mistakes, everyone can trust God.
Kids participate in memorable wild games, amazing experiments, lip-smacking snacks, surprising Bible adventures, and incredible music to remind them of God’s love, no matter how they feel, no matter what happens in their life, and no matter where they are.
They will make crafts that they can take home and play with all summer long and receive a Bible-buddy Bible verse memory gift. Plus children will learn to trust God through the comical actions and lessons taught by Chadder Chipmunk in the daily opening “Sky-High” movie clips.
Each day concludes with a fly away finale-a celebration that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned. Family members and friends are encouraged to join in daily for this special conclusion at 7:40 p.m.
SKY involves more than fun-filled events and learning about Jesus. It also enables kids to put their faith and knowledge into action by sharing God’s love with a mission to raise funds for mosquito nets for people living in Mali. These nets are essential for helping prevent the spread of mosquito-transmitted diseases.
