What do I think?

We bought new wireless phones for the house last year. I just glanced over the manual but I still managed to get the phones set up. It did everything we wanted it to – good enough.
Then every once in a while somebody, who tried to leave a message, complained about the beep taking so long after the announcement which said something like this, “Hi, you have reached the White House, we’ll get back with you after the elections.” Just kidding. The beep came at least a minute later. A lot of people hung up without leaving a message, they got tired of waiting for the beep.
I decided to correct it but first I had to read up on it – ouch. Turns out what I did the first time was to record an announcement and then stopped to read the manual again because I didn’t take everything in, I just skimmed over it. The last instruction said to hit #5 to end the announcement. I hit it but meanwhile I left a long pause.
I now have the beep coming 2 milliseconds after the announcement ends. Blows your mind, doesn’t it?

Before they are done with us this year we’re going to hate presidential elections, that is if some of you don’t already. There’s very little talk about the issues, it’s usually about something nobody gives a damn about.
Oblama: “Your mother wore combat boots!”
Romney: “Oh yeah, your dad wore skirts!”
Oblama: “My dad could have beat up your dad!”
Romney: “Big deal, my mom could have whipped your dad!”
Oblama: “My dad said your dad was lazy!”
Romney: “My dad said your dad was from Kenya!”
So on and so forth. Nothing has been said that the American people want to hear.
What about the economy, what about the budget, what about the deficit, what about unemployment, what about energy, can we afford Oblamacare and is it too controlling, what about recession, what about our children and grandchildren?

We’re worried about the Detroit Tigers. They are floundering and most players on the team seem over rated. Only three of the regulars are hitting but one of them is on the disabled list. The Tigers have spent the last few years drafting pitchers and that’s proven to be a good move but meanwhile we have no super stars in the wings at any other position.
Next year I suggest they go for a shortstop and second baseman that can hit and field. We got nothing now.

Short Thoughts:
Why did we trade Curtis Granderson to the Yankees?
What I hate most about the NBA is its lottery draft. It favors lucky teams rather than the worst teams.
Congratulations to Scott Walker for his recall victory. We need a president who will do the same thing. The medicine is awful but the cure is worth it.
Until the next time . . .
