Register of Deeds
Effective July 1, 2012 the convenience charge for Register of Deeds digital images sold via the website is reduced from 2.9% of the total sale plus .75 per transaction to 2.9% of the total sale plus .50 per transaction.
This reduction is due to the increase in average monthly volume of on-line transactions during the first six months of 2012. We are now able to recover the fixed cost of merchant services (credit, debit, and on-line charge) over a larger number of transactions. The digital image rate remains .78 per image.
We will continue to monitor costs and make appropriate pricing adjustments.
