“Located on Spring St, the building was originally the Wiggens Sanitarium. It was then bought and run as the Hart Clinic. It became the St Johns Hospital briefly before Clinton Memorial was built. Eventually it was turned into an apartment house.
Interesting note, originally the top floor was an attic. The Hart Clinic needed a surgery so they turned the 3rd floor into a surgical room. Patients were carried up and down steep stairs on a stretcher.”
