Good things wait for those who come — or something like that.
Don’t miss the Clinton Northern Railway’s Silent Auction August 29 in the pavilion at St. Johns City Park. There will be goodies galore just waiting for your winning bid.
The auction is a fundraiser for the restoration of the train cars to be used as a living museum beside the Clinton-Ionia-Shiawassee Rail Trail being started in 2013.

This is a beautiful freshwater pearl and amethyst necklace generously donated by Harr’s Jewelry Store in St. Johns.
The auction will begin at 6 pm and continue throughout the concert of Elvis impersonator, Matt King. Enjoy the great music and be sure to bid on the items of your choice. There will even be a wooden plaque with a picture of Elvis on it for his fans to bid on. Good fun for a good cause.
The auction is being organized by Friends of the Clinton Northern Railway (CNR). Both CNR and the Concert in the Park Series are part of the many arts and cultural activities offered to this area by Clinton County Arts Council, which receives a portion of its 2012 funding through the award of a competitive grant from the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs and the National Endowment for the Arts.
