Paine-Gillam-Scott House
Volunteers from the Clinton County Historical Museum, the Paine-Gillam-Scott House, participated in the DeWitt Ox Roast Parade.

The Museum Volunteers walked along side of a vintage car – a 1973 Mustang convertible decorated with the logo of the museum – a red, white and blue bunting. The logo was displayed on the trunk of the Mustang and the sides of the car showed off new magnetic signs that publicized the museum. Volunteers passed out American Flags and Complimentary Passes to the Paine-Gillam-Scott Museum Complex.
The parade was well organized and followed a well-planned route through DeWitt. The streets were lined with an estimated 6,000 people making it the largest Ox Roast Parade. The Grand Marshall of the parade was Olympic Gold Medalist, Jordyn Wieber. Jordyn was available after the parade to sign autographs and many people waited in line for several hours to meet her and see her gold medal.
Thanks to all the volunteers and their efforts to make this parade a success and fun for all.

Mark and Diane Carlson donated the use of the Mustang convertible for the parade. A special thanks goes to Gary Floate of Custom Designs for designing and making the magnetic signs with the museum’s logo. The Museum Volunteers are hoping to participate in other parades and the new signs will be a welcome addition.
