Huge fish caught by St. Johns High School Student
On August 22, 2012, my 14-year-old nephew, Jeremy Brocker, caught a 31lb., 44 inch Lake Trout in Lake Michigan. This size fish is extremely rare and should result in a Master Angler award for Jeremy. Myself, along with my father, brother, son, and two nephews were out with Captain Jim Bard on the “IT IL DO” for an end of summer salmon charter fishing trip out of Grand Haven when my nephew caught the giant lake trout. We caught 8 other fish as well.
