Clare O. Witt
Clare O. Witt formerly from DeWitt age 82 passed September 10, 2012 in Lansing, MI. He was a veteran and retired Farmer.
Clare is survived by 2 brothers Frederick Witt from Scottsdale, Arizona, Carl (Dorothy) Witt, DeWitt, MI, one sister Betty Metz from Farwell, MI and one sister in law Dorothy M. Witt from Ovid, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents Otto and Grace Witt, Sister Anna (Paul) Heller, Katherine (Charles) Fisher, Brother Jay Witt, brother in law Franklin Metz JR. sister in law Rosaline Witt. He has lots of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday September 29th at 11:00 A.M. at the farm 9151 S. Bauer Rd Dewitt, MI with Pastor Randy Peterson officiating. Arrangements were made by Keck-Coleman Funeral Home, St. Johns, MI


Traci Renae Boughner

Traci Renae Boughner, age 40, of Westland, MI formerly of Maple Rapids, MI died Sunday, September 23, 2012 at Oakwood Annapolis Hospital in Wayne, MI.
A Memorial Service will be held at Eureka Christian Church, Eureka, MI on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Keith Whipple officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 noon until the time of the service at the church.
Traci was born in Lansing, Michigan on October 15, 1971, the daughter of Bruce Jefferson and Cathy Elaine (Warren) Boughner. She graduated from Fulton High School in 1990. Traci worked as an Agency Coordinator for FOCUS: Hope in Detroit, MI. Traci loved Michigan football, Detroit Redwings, Tigers and Pistons, and NASCAR races. Traci enjoyed salsa dancing, yoga, working out, traveling and tennis. She was passionate about furthering breast cancer research and volunteering with Relay for Life.
Traci is survived 2 sons; Austin and Dominic of Westland, MI, her parents Bruce and Cathy Boughner of Maple Rapids, MI, brother Todd and Nickole Boughner of St. Johns, MI, nephew Matthew, Aunt Nancy Allen of Maple Rapids, MI and many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Uncle Donald Allen, Uncle Bud and Aunt Lois Warren.

Robert Wayne St. George
Robert Wayne St. George, St. Johns, MI formerly of Hewitt, TX, died peacefully Sunday, September 23, 2012 surrounded by his family.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 from 3:00-7:00 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Johns Chapel, 2057 N. Lansing Street, St. Johns, MI.
Robert was born in Chicago, IL on July 9, 1932, the son of Earl and Hildur (Skur) St. George. He served our country and our veterans for more than a half century. It began with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War era, a full career with the Veterans Administration, and finally as a volunteer with Veterans service agencies including the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Military Order of the Cootie. Robert spent most of his working life in the Detroit, MI area and retired in 1992 to Hewitt, TX. Robert married Mary Reynolds on September 23, 1966 and she preceded him in death on January 20, 2009. Together they enjoyed traveling and went on many cruises. Robert made his dinner date with Mary on what would have been their 46th wedding anniversary and now they are traveling together again.
He is survived by his only son, Lawrence and Kelly (Schrauben) St. George of St. Johns, MI, his grandchildren; Lauren, William and Charles St. George, and his brother, John St. George of South Carolina.

Deloris J. Zehr
Deloris J. Zehr died Sunday September 23, 2012 at the age of 64. She was born February 17, 1948 in Goshen, IN the daughter of Samuel and Dorothy (Livingood) Hostetler. She is a former member of Bethel Mennonite Church near Ashley, MI and attended First Baptist Church in St. Johns. Deloris is a former MSU employee in Crop and Soil Sciences and was a volunteer with Clinton County Meals on Wheels for over 20 years. On July 2, 1966 she married Clifford Zehr and he survives her.
Also surviving is a son, Gary (Chris) Zehr of St. Johns; one daughter Kathy (Bill) Argo of Rives Junction, MI; five grandchildren, Hannah, Elizabeth and Sarah Zehr, Zachary and Evan Argo; one sister, Debra Hochstetler of Bremen, IN; five brothers, Don (Ruth) Hostetler of Goshen, IN, Glen (Julie) Hostetler of Wakarusa, IN, Gerald Hostetler of Louisville, KY, Willie (Kim) Hostetler of Elkhart, IN; brothers and sisters in law, Donnita Hostetler of West Des Moines, IA, Harold (Norma) Zehr of Attica, MI, Bernice (John) Rau of Metamora, MI, Delores (John) Belback of Lapeer, MI and 31 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Ronald, brother Marvin Hostetler and brother in law and sister in law Annabel and Herb Cornell.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, September 28, 2012 at First Baptist Church 512 S. US 27, St. Johns with Pastor Tim Knaus officiating. Interment will take place at 3:00 PM at Bethany Mennonite Cemetery in Lapeer County, MI. The family will receive relatives and friends 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home, St. Johns. Memorials may be made to Clinton County Meals on Wheels 201 E. Leon G. Nurenberg
Leon G. Nurenberg, age 64, died September 22, 2012. Born in Westphalia, Michigan, November 23, 1947, son of Elmer and Esther (Lenneman) Nurenberg. Leon retired from Clinton County Road Commission after 24 years of service. Leon was an avid golfer, bicyclist, kayaker, card player, and lover of nature. Leon and wife Sara were very active in various outdoor conservation programs. Leon was a referee and umpire with M.H.S.A.A. for over 30 years.
Leon is survived by Sara, his loving wife of 18 years, children; Deena Duling, Collin and Jacob Nurenberg, siblings; Ken (Marlene), Allen (Mary), Bruce (Lucy) Nurenberg and Joyce (Ken Schamanek) Kennedy. Also surviving are grandchildren; Erynn and Alex Duling as well as many nieces and nephews. Leon was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Larry Nurenberg.
Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 3:00 pm Wednesday September 26, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Michael Williams presiding. The family will receive friends at the Osgood Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-5 pm and 6-8 pm with a rosary being prayed at 4 pm and a prayer vigil at 7 pm . The family would also like to acknowledge and give special thanks to our friends and family who have helped throughout Leon’s illness. Contributions may be made in Leon’s memory to Mother Teresa House.
