The Clinton County Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for the 10th Annual Christmas Festival that will be held on Saturday, December 1 at the CC RESA Building (1013 S US 27 in St. Johns). For the Breakfast with Santa purchase of advance tickets are encouraged since Santa will have limited time to spend at the event. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under (free for children under 2) and are available at the Chamber of Commerce and Big Boy of St. Johns. Only those participating in the breakfast will be able to get pictures with Santa – please bring your own camera. The breakfast will include scrambled eggs, silver dollar pancakes and sausage prepared by Big Boy of St. Johns and cereals, muffins and beverages.
There will be over 70 vendors at the Craft Show selling Christmas items such as ornaments and tree skirts and other things such as jewelry, homemade baked goods, candles, soaps, solar lights, wood products, and much, much more. There will be over 70 prizes given out through a raffle throughout the day (tickets will be $1 each or 6 for $5). There will also be a Grand Prize of a 36″ decorative snowman.
The Festival of Trees is a beautiful display of theme decorated Christmas Trees. You can vote for your favorite tree with a money donation. The tree that collects the most votes (most money) gets to decide which charity receives all the money that was collected. If you would like to enter a tree, call the Chamber today.
The Make It and Take It Kids Crafts is for kids to make things for themselves or make gifts for family and friends. Most crafts are only .25 or .50 to make. Most come in kits so you can make them at the festival or purchase the kits and make them at home. An example of each craft will be on display during the Breakfast with Santa. Also from noon-3 pm PKSA Karate will be at the festival running an obstacle courses and offering board breaking opportunities.
There will be a lunch available at the festival. The Clinton County Senior Center will also be selling lunch of Sloppy Joes, Hot Dogs, Nachos, chips and beverages starting at 10:30 am.
