Thank you for winter gear and much more
Thank you to all who donated mittens, scarves and hats! We collected 63 sets of mittens, 38 scarves and 24 hats that will keep somebody warm this winter.
“Babies In Bloom” Lapsit Storytime:
Babies ages 12 to 24 months with adult participation are invited to join in the fun of books and reading on Monday evenings, 6:30-7, February 11th thru March 25th (no session 2/18) OR Friday mornings, 10-10:30, February 15th thru March 22nd. Together we will enjoy age appropriate stories, music and creative movement. Registration is required & begins: Monday, January 14th,1013.
eBook Program
Do you have an eReader or tablet? Come to our class and learn how to use it to borrow free e-books and audiobooks from the library. This class covers all the basics — setup, downloading, and which devices support library e-books. We’ll demonstrate the checkout, download and transfer process through the Overdrive app and answer all your e-reader questions. You’re welcome to bring your device, though it is not required. Two class times available on Tuesday February 5 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. or Friday, February 8 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Required registration began on January 8 and you must have a valid Library card to sign up.
Pre-Reader Storytime – Ropin’in Wild West Tales!
There’s still time and a few spaces left so mosey on in and lasso some wild tales of the west at Pre-Reader Storytime – Ropin’in Wild West Tales! Independent listeners: ages 4, 5, and
6 are “WANTED” to help us round up some fun with wild west stories. Sign on for Tuesday mornings, 10:30-11 am, January 15th to February 19th, 2012, OR Thursday evenings, 6:30-7 pm, January 17th to February 21st. We’ll don our cowboy hats and do some horsin’ around with stories, crafts, music, and maybe put on the feedbag with a snack or two. Registration is required. Hope to see you there pardner!
Jr. Readers Book Club
Youth ages 7-9 are invited celebrate the Chinese New Year on Monday January 28th from 7:00-8:00pm. Registration for the program begins January 2, 2013. Pick up a copy of the discussion book New Year Dragon Dilemma by Ron Roy at the circulation desk. The program will include a game, a craft and a snack. Child or their responsible adult must have a valid Library card to sign up for the program.
Library Closures
The Library will be closed on Monday January 21st in observance of the Martin Luther King Holiday. The drop box on the Library porch will be available for returns during these closures.
