Pageant, Scholarship and Other
Scholarship Application: Each year the St. Johns Mint Festival awards a $1000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior from Clinton County that plans to have a course study in business at college. To apply the applicant must complete the application form, provide two reference letters and answer two essay questions. Applications are due to the Clinton County Chamber of Commerce office by April 6. The scholarship review committee is made up of Committee members from the St. Johns Mint Festival and Board of Directors of the Clinton County Chamber of Commerce.
Pageant: The St. Johns Mint Festival Pageant is slated to occur on Tuesday, July 30 this year. An informational meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April 25 so potential candidates can learn what is involved in the pageant, costs involved, time commitment and what is expected of the candidate if they are selected by the judges at the pageant. Applications will be available at that meeting, or you can get one on the Mint Festival webpage. During the pageant a Little Miss Mint, Junior Miss Mint and Queen will be selected. Each will receive a gift basket of merchandise and gift certificates, the Queen will also receive a $1500 scholarship with the 1st Runner Up receiving $500.
