Habitat for Humanities is excited about their new home rehab in Maple Rapids. Here is a group of energetic volunteers who assisted the family partner (top left) remove the carpeting and linoleum flooring from the Maple Rapids house. The home has already been insulated, primed, and prepped. Painting is next on the list.
Last year Habitat acquired a home in Maple Rapids which needed a little face lift.

This month volunteers have been working hard to make this home simple, decent, and affordable for the new family partner Chad Anderson pictured with his two daughters. Tiffany (right), 17, and Brianna (left), 14, both attend St. Johns High School. Their father describes them as outgoing, considerate, and they get along well with others. Tiffany just joined the work force. Brianna loves animals, grandma, and singing.
Chad is working hard to improve the Maple Rapids house and to obtain his 250 sweat equity hours. Chad has been at the home every time we have had volunteers out there. He has done a great job participating in the construction and recruiting his friends to help as well. So far the volunteers have made great progress on the home and plan to finish during the first full week of May.
