Habitat will do the heavy lifting for you

Free of charge
In conjunction with the city-wide annual St. Johns Spring Cleanup slated for Saturday, May 11, volunteers at the Habitat ReStore in St. Johns are offering assistance to city residents who want to get those no longer needed, but reusable, items out of the basement, the attic and the garage, but do not want to place items at curbside for pick up.
Instead of hauling your major appliances, furniture, cabinets or vanities to the curb, let the Habitat ReStore pick it up for you free of charge. You get a tax deduction for your donation and also avoid reusable items going to the landfill.
St. Johns residents who wish to take advantage of this offer may call the ReStore at 989-227-0000 or stop in the store at 2352 N. US 27 during business hours – Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 10 am to 5 pm, Thursday 10 am to 7 pm, and Saturday 10 am to 2 pm. Please note that the Habitat ReStore provides pick-ups once a week throughout the year. If you miss the May 11 event, the Habitat ReStore will still be able to pick up your donation.
The ReStore sells donated merchandise at deeply discounted prices, with the proceeds supporting the mission of Habitat for Humanity of Clinton County of providing decent, affordable homes to those living in inadequate housing. This year, the proceeds will help Habitat rehab a house in Maple Rapids, and build a home in St. Johns, both for local Clinton County families.
The ReStore also has an ongoing need for volunteers to run the cash register, provide customer service, assist with pick-up and delivery of merchandise, clean and organize merchandise, and much more. Volunteers can commit to partial or full day shifts Tuesday through Saturday on a daily or weekly basis. By volunteering at the ReStore, you can support Habitat for Humanity of Clinton County while encouraging your community to Recycle, Reuse and Repurpose.
