Springtime Festival and more
The Clinton County Senior Center recently participated in the Chamber of Commerce Springtime Festival and had great success selling the many crafts community individuals made for them. The sale of donated new crafts at craft shows is one of the ways they fund the center. They also sell new and gently used items in their gift shop and their facility is available for rent for occasions like graduation open houses, birthday parties, reunions and showers.
The Clinton County Senior Center has a dining room and a large lobby for seating and a kitchen is available to use for an extra cost. If you are interested in learning more about utilizing the center, please call 989-224-4257 and ask for a Board member.
Additional funding for the Senior Center comes from their Monday Lunches and Euchre Tournaments. Each Monday from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm the center serves a complete meal, or a sandwich if you want something lighter. The complete meal is $5, the sandwich (with chips and pickles) is $3 and homemade pie is $1.50. Take outs are also available. The center invites you to come and check out the great meals made by community volunteers.
The Euchre Tournaments are held from 1-3 pm on the 1st and 3rd Monday’s of each month and from 6:30-8:30 pm on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month. The cost to participate in the afternoons is $1 if you eat lunch at the center or $2 if you come just for the tournament. The cost to participate in the evenings is $2 for everyone. If there is a 5th Monday of the month the tournament will be from 1-3 pm.
The Clinton County Senior Center is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm each day. Cards, games, puzzles and socialization programs are held throughout the week and on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday nutritional meals are available for $3 for senior citizens.
