Logan’s Law hearings coming up: Measures expected on the docket at June 6 meeting
State Rep. Kevin Cotter announced today that the House Judiciary Comminee will be taking testamony on legislation that would establish an animal abuse registry.
House: Bill’ 4534 and 4535, introduced by Represenlatives Paul Muxlow and Harvey Santana, establish an official animal abuse registty in Michigan, the first of its kind nationwide. By establishing the register animal shelters will be able to search the database to ensure that a potential pet owner has not abused pets in the past.

The bills will be taken up for testimony in the House Judiciary meeting on Thursday, June 6 at 9 a.m. The hearing will be held in Room 519 or 521 of the House Office Building at 124 N. Capitol in Lansing.
