Carole Sally George

Carole Sally George passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 23, 2013, after a 20 year battle with diabetes. She was born August 11, 1934 in Owosso, MI to Ernest Miller and Louise Zuckschwerdt. They preceded her in death along with both of her siblings, Duane and Darlene Miller.
She leaves behind to grieve her passing her four children: Alana Johnson of Haslett, Chris (Kathy) George of St. Johns, Jenesse (Bill) Coleman of Pompeii and Darcy George of St. Johns. Also left to mourn are her 9 beautiful grandchildren: Allyssa (John) Johnson, Carly and Logan Coleman, Kadeem Johnson, Erin (Troy) Fedewa, and Emily, Nathan, Audrey and Benjamin George. Also missing her is her constant companion for the last 12 years, her beloved cat Tiger. Carole was married on February 24, 1962 to Edwin George and he preceded her in death in 2009. Before marriage she worked at Miller’s Furniture and Upholstery Shop that was owned by her father. She was also employed at the St. Johns Reminder.
Carole was a good and loving soul who was cherished by all who knew her. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, word searches and “Jumble” to keep her mind sharp. In her younger days, she loved horseback riding on her family’s farm. She had a great love of animals, most of all cats. She also liked to watch birds. Her other great love was the Detroit Tigers. Her last wish was to see them win the World Series again. Sadly, this was not meant to be.
In tribute to our mom/grandmother, cheer on the Tigers this year. Adopt a stray pet. Smell the beautiful flowers in bloom. Wear her favorite color, lavender. Most of all, be kind to everyone you meet and enjoy every precious day of your beautiful life.
As per Carole’s wishes, there will be no services. The family was served by Osgood Funeral Homes.
